Landseers
belong to Molossers category. Maturity of these dogs comes late.
Their mind and body mature in 2-3 years of life. They do not require
specific training, and they can stay indoors as well as outside.
Large space and long marathon race is not a must. A little back yard
and games with a loving master are enough. They are ideal family
dogs, because their mission of origin is to stay shoulder to shoulder
with a human being. They wish to be useful. They do not latch onto
people and know their place. Landseers take care of children with
pleasure. They are potherless, undemanding and never bark without a
reason. They are happy when having a chance to swim. Landseers do not
scare of waters – they tamed it a long time ago! They love to swim
and they plough very easily, it seems they do even pant.
Newfoundlands and Landseers are called rescuers. They act very
carefully and gently with the victim: being physically strong, they
move a drowned person to bank.
There
are no worries dogs would get their white fur smudged. The fur will
get dry soon, and dirt will crumble away. Dogs only need to be combed
once a week and bathed just before shows. Lanseers have rich
underfur, so they can live outside and they also love to roll in the
snow.
Lanseers
beam with calm and this is what the most people are lack of when
being always on a hurry.
